Last month, I mentioned that I recently started a few courses, but for the last four weeks I have been focusing all of my attention on one of them. This one involves completing a huge project and as I have a limited time in the course, my priority has shifted so that I can finish the program on time. The first couple of weeks were spent pushing myself out of my comfort zone while overcoming some fears and doubts. I was feeling rather overwhelmed and wondering if I made the right decision. However, I am lucky to have several inspiring and motivating coaches to move me along in the right direction. Already, I have felt an energy shift, new opportunities have opened up and I am now really excited about what’s to come!
One of the opportunities is that I starting teaching at a new studio and I was invited to join them at the Women’s Wellness Expo earlier this month. It was a great way to spend the day with my colleagues and meet some potential new clients!
A topic that has been coming up a lot in my conversations lately has been Mental Health. As someone who was severely depressed, for the majority of my life, I am really glad to see that more and more people are reaching out and becoming open to talking about this. I know that I would not be here today, if it wasn’t for the support I received from others.
I have created a new Facebook group, Yoga for Mental Wellness! It’s about time we all feel ok about speaking up about something that affects so many of us. We’ve all got a story to tell, why not share the journey together! https://www.facebook.com/groups/Yogaformentalwellness/
